Nurse Practitioners
Town and Country Pediatrics is proud to provide a certified pediatric
nurse practitioner, Jennifer Hartman, for our patients. A nurse
practitioner (CPNP) is a registered nurse who has completed an additional
three years for a masters degree and is certified by the National
Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
Jennifer has her own independent patient schedule, providing medical
child care for new patients as well as healthy child exams, sick
visits and follow-up visits for established patients. Nurse practitioners
traditionally have a strong focus on parent and patient education
and have prescriptive authority. They do not have admitting privileges
at the hospital, however, any of our physicians can have the patients
of a nurse practitioner admitted. The nurse practitioner works closely
together with the Town and Country Pediatric physicians for patient
consultations and collaborates to ensure the mutual goals of your
child's wellness.
Jennifer Hartman, CPNP and Karen Patel, RN, maintain our computer
tracking system to follow our patients who need outside lab work,
and consultations, and to follow-up on unfavorable results with
the patients. You can contact them by e-mail at

or by calling 312-279-8900, and press #7 for her voice mail. To
